Job Title: Scientist II

Location: Ridgefield, CT

Overview:

We are seeking a Scientist II to support a long-term, high-impact special project within a multidisciplinary research team. The ideal candidate brings hands-on expertise in cell culture, assay development, and molecular biology to help drive innovation in biomarker discovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, plan, and execute experiments independently
• Develop, optimize, and validate molecular and cellular assays
• Culture cell lines and process primary tissues from various species
• Support biomarker discovery through molecular techniques
• Maintain laboratory equipment and manage consumables
• Collaborate across teams on multiple concurrent projects
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation
• Provide mentorship and training to junior lab personnel

Preferred Experience:

• Proficiency with cell culture, especially immune cells
• Familiarity with qPCR, nucleic acid extraction, and general molecular techniques
• Hands-on experience with platforms such as:
• QuantStudio 12K Flex
• MSD
• Protein WES
• Qubit, Nanodrop
• 10X Genomics
• BioMek i7
• Agilent Tapestation
• Illumina sequencing

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience
• OR a Master's degree in a related field with equivalent experience
