Certified - Area - Registered Nurse Job Number 330####### Start Date Open Date 03/17/2025 Closing Date JOB SUMMARY: We are looking for a caring, compassionate and experienced school nurse that loves taking care of children and prioritizes their health and well-being over anything else. Responsible for educating our students on any health issues and handle any medical complaints within the school by performing a routine screening. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to execute the following tasks satisfactorily. • Ensure that students have all their medical records up to date
• Orientate students on health care and safety issues like hand washing, germs, etc.
• Screen students who are complaining of a specific ailment
• Keep files on each of the student's health and medical history

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing and walking for extended periods of times
• Sitting down while entering data to the computer or charting
• Bending, twisting, pushing and pulling are all actions that are performed daily
• Regular lifting of medical supplies or equipment

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing
• License issued by the State of NY to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
• Able to establish relationships with the students and become familiar with them
