A great Home Health is looking for an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their growing team!
Requirements (Mandatory):
- Must be a certified BCBA in good standing.
- No new graduates. Minimum of 1 full year of experience as a certified BCBA is required.
- Must have proven, hands-on experience successfully assessing and treating severe challenging behaviors (aggression, elopement).
- Must be comfortable and competent working independently in a school-based setting.
- Must NOT be a current employee of the NYC Department of Education (DOE).
- Must have excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills for working with school staff and families.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profile is highly preferred.
- Previous experience providing ABA services within a school setting.
- Strong understanding of how to navigate and implement plans in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Lead and manage all aspects of the cases independently.
- Collaborate with school staff and provide training as needed.
- Conduct parent training sessions to ensure consistency across environments.
