Position Overview
As a School RN at TheraCare, you will provide direct nursing care to students during the school day in a variety of educational settings. Key Responsibilities:
- •Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- •Oversee the school health office including triage, injury response, and wellness checks.
- •Monitor student health conditions and respond to emergency situations.
- •Communicate with parents, school staff, and agency supervisors regarding student care.
- •Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with NYC DOE and NYS DOH guidelines.
- •Ensure adherence to all public health protocols and nursing standards.

Qualifications:
- •Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- •At least 2 years of nursing experience in pediatrics, public health, or school-based roles.
- •CPR/BLS certification (required).
- •Familiarity with patient electronic database systems and documentation standards.
- •Strong organizational, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
Physical Requirements:
- •Hand dexterity ability (ability to operate mobile device, smart phone, computer).
- •Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- •Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
- •Ability to travel to various locations on a near daily basis.
- •Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
