Quist Middle, a 27 J School in Thornton, CO, is currently seeking a School Counselor to provide services to students. This is a full-time, or 1.0 FTE position. Responsibilities: Implement the district comprehensive counseling framework Provide quality counseling services including academic counseling and emotional counseling Counsel, teach and work with a diverse population Work with incoming students and teachers around conflict mediation, bullying, peer mentors, and leadership training Develop positive, appropriate relationships with parents, staff and students and solve conflicts in a positive way Participation in staff development activities, staff meetings, and assigned duties Qualifications: Certification/ Licensing as a School Counselor as required by Colorado Department of Education Master's degree in counseling or psychology An understanding of standards-based grading Knowledge of middle school students' interests, needs, and abilities with a commitment and dedication to stude...Middle School, Counselor, School
