Position Overview

School Counselor

Full-time | Orange County, FL

• 2025-2026 School Year
• Grades K-12
• Full-time (30 hours per week)
• During regular school hours (schedule TBD)
• Schools are located in the SW Orlando area

Your Role in Student Success:

As a School Counselor, you will be an advocate, confidence builder, and a source of inspiration for students. You will play a pivotal role in fostering the behavioral, personal, emotional, and social development of students by creating a safe and supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and small group counseling to students across multiple grade levels.
• Positively impact the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional well-being of each child.
• Nurture student potential with personalized counseling tailored to their needs.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, and school staff to enhance service effectiveness.
• Conduct learning assessments to understand students' strengths and weaknesses.
• Assist parents and school staff in accessing community resources for student support.
• Complete necessary documentation accurately and efficiently.
• Stay updated on current trends in counseling to provide the best support.
• Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Supervise students and ensure safe transitions between activities.
• Perform timely data entry for attendance, communications, and compliance.
• Maintain organized student records as required by relevant agencies.
• Communicate consistently with supervisors, teachers, and parents.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this School Counselor position should possess:

• Current Florida state licensure or certification preferred (LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, or school counseling certification). We welcome intern licenses!
• Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Experience with school-aged children and in educational settings.
• Willingness to work across various grade levels.
• Proficiency in using online platforms for record-keeping and communication.
• A passion for helping students thrive.
