Scheduling Specialist

The Scheduling Specialist prepares requisitions, schedules and other documents necessary for the homebound technicians to perform their duties. Accurately records essential information and maintains patient information, standing orders and nursing home requests. Provide direction to Homebound Service Scheduling Assistant and Technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative & Documentation Management . Prepare and maintain requisitions, schedules, patient records, and On Call schedules. Accurately record and update patient data, standing orders, and nursing home requests. Manage documentation and perform file maintenance using Excel, Word, LIS, and Access.
  • Communication & Coordination . Professionally handle incoming calls and ensure timely delegation of client requests. Maintain regular communication with Sales, Charge Technicians, and other departments. Coordinate logistics for Health Fairs and special events, including staffing and supplies.
  • Team Leadership & Support . Direct and support Scheduling Assistants and Technicians in daily tasks. Train designated employees on Homebound Services procedures and expectations. Collaborate with the Homebound Services Supervisor to address operational and service issues.
  • Client & Service Oversight . Ensure all client needs are met through timely service delivery and follow-ups. Submit mileage and travel documentation; reconcile end-of-shift logs to confirm task completion. Support continuous quality improvement by aligning services with client expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience in Customer Service or appointment scheduling required.

Physical Requirements

S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
