Schedulers are responsible for scheduling outpatient procedures using computer software and telephone system. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Job Specific: 1. Understands the requirements for multiple procedures.(EF) 2. Understands and can use the phone system correctly.(EF) 3. Understands how to move through the hospital scheduling system and schedule all procedures accurately. a. Able to edit and/or reschedule.(EF) b. Able to block a room in a dept when necessary.(EF) c. Notifies appropriate staff of add-ons.(EF) d. Relays instructions, answers questions.(EF) 4. Works on other department duties, pulls orders, and pre-registers patients over the phone as required.(EF)Hospital:Adheres to organization-wide and other applicable policies and procedures.
