Job Title: Utility Scheduler

Location: Houston, TX (through project planning phase); relocating to site near Little Rock, AR at project start (early next year)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Utility Scheduler with a strong background in new generation and combined cycle power projects. In this role, you will develop and manage detailed project schedules, track progress, and work closely with engineering, construction, and field teams to ensure milestones are met on time and within budget. This position will be based in Houston, Texas until the project mobilizes early next year, at which point the role will transition to the project site in Arkansas (outside Little Rock).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize project schedules using Primavera P6 (or MS Project) for all phases of new generation and combined cycle projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align resource loading, identify critical paths, and optimize timelines.
  • Track project progress, update schedules with actuals, and forecast potential delays.
  • Recommend recovery plans and ensure schedule alignment with budgets, safety standards, and project objectives.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports to management, stakeholders, and client representatives.
  • Identify potential risks and implement schedule mitigation strategies.
  • Support integration of scheduling data with cost control and reporting systems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling for power generation projects, preferably involving new generation or combined cycle facilities.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is preferred; MS Project experience considered.
  • Solid understanding of the full project lifecycle from engineering and procurement through construction and commissioning.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (preferred).

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP, Maximo, or other asset/project management systems.
  • PMP or other relevant project management/scheduling certifications.
