Corestaff Services is seeking a Scan Operator for a client in Washington, DC to support the Digitization team with ongoing production work.
The Scan Operator will digitize a subset of historic records and briefs. The collection to be converted to digital form consists of a set of bound and unbound pamphlets and documents of various types and sizes. It includes randomly distributed foldouts, some of which are oversized.
Duties:
- Complete training on in-house scanning equipment and workflow software
- Assist in preparing documents for the scanning process
- Operate digital image scanning equipment to capture images
- Use customized workflow software to initiate scan jobs, tag images for further processing, and quality control
- Perform post-processing and quality control checks to ensure captured images meet established standards
- Maintain detailed records of scanned material for inventory purposes
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate scanning and quality control.
- Computer Proficiency: Basic computer knowledge and experience with software like Microsoft Office is often required.
- Organizational Skills: To manage physical and digital document flow effectively.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to operate and maintain scanning equipment.
- Confidentiality: Maintaining the privacy and security of sensitive documents and information.
- Education: You must complete an accredited associate or bachelor's degree program in a field like radiography or radiologic technology.
- Experience: 3-5 years
- Law or Government experience is preferred
