Job Title: Scale Operator - Weighmaster

Job Description

The Scale Operator - Weighmaster is responsible for loading and weighing trucks in compliance with CalTrans and DOT rules, as well as company policies and procedures. This role requires accurate data entry into the ticketing system and building strong relationships with customers. You will communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, owner-operators, supervisors, and personnel at all levels. The position is based in Corona, CA, with the possibility of floating to other locations as needed. This is a third shift position with hours from 5 pm to 2 am.

Responsibilities

• Load and weigh trucks according to CalTrans and DOT regulations.

• Accurately enter data into the ticketing system.

• Build and maintain rapport with customers.

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members.

• Follow and enforce company policies and procedures.

• Travel between aggregate locations when necessary.

• Ability to excel under pressure.

• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

• Previous scale operator experience preferred.

• Strong ethical standards and proactive in safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Comfortable with new technologies.

• Displays a team attitude.

• Dependable, self-motivated, with a positive attitude.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience in the construction industry, preferably with aggregates or asphalt.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Must be willing to submit to a drug screen, background check, and physical.

Work Environment

Work in an aggregate facility with a focus on safety and teamwork. This role requires flexibility to travel between locations as needed. The position involves working night shifts from 5 pm to 2 am, with the potential for overtime and weekend hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Corona, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
