Scale Attendant - Waste Connections : Job Details

Waste Connections of Rhode Island is looking for a Scale Attendant to join our team in South Kingston, RI. Pay Rate: $23.00 per hour. Schedule: Monday through Friday 6:00 to 3:30 and every other Saturday 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. In this position, you will be weighing trucks in and out of the facility and interacting with the public. You must have excellent customer service, good computer skills, accounting skills and cash handling experience. You will also be completing administrative tasks to help the transfer station run smoothly. As a Scale Attendant the minimum responsibilities are:Greet and direct all customers and employees upon entry of the transfer station. Weighing trucks in and out and calculating payments for customers. Track weight information from scale to computer system and get appropriate signatures. Ensuring that incoming garbage loads are safe and do not contain any inappropriate material. Answers phone in a professional and enthusiastic fashion.
