DescriptionLeadman - Provides leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers in work crews, assisting the Foreman, while working as a journeyman.SUMMARYBuilds, positions, and dismantles wooden structures such as concrete forms, scaffolds, tunnel and sewer supports, and temporary shelters, based on sketches, blueprints, or company standards.RESPONSIBILITIES
Examines, selects, and gathers materials and tools.Reviews blueprints and specifications to determine structure dimensions.Inspects base surfaces for obstructions.Loads, transports, and unloads materials.Measures and marks materials for cutting using appropriate tools.Saws boards and panels to required sizes.Uses carpentry hand tools such as hammers, levels, squares, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, and pry bars.Assembles scaffolds with handrails, braces, planks, toe boards, screening, and locking pins as per specifications.Braces forms with timbers, tie rods, and bolts for concrete structures.Secures scaffolding to permanent structures by tying.Constructs scaffolding and installs ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.Sets and braces anchor bolts.May rig materials as needed.Performs minor maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment.Observes safety and project rules at all times.Performs other duties as required.JOB REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred, with relevant experience. Knowledge of industry practices and procedures. Works under supervision, following instructions and guidelines.
