Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities for design and construction of complex projects under senior supervision.
  • Ensure quality and compliance in design and construction.
  • Make timely decisions to keep projects on schedule.
  • Address design and construction errors early.
  • Manage project phasing and schedules.
  • Interface with contractors, school personnel, and senior staff.
  • Develop and review project procedures and policies.
  • Guide and support less experienced team members.
  • Resolve field issues and manage change orders.
  • Review contractor claims and site safety.
  • Visit job sites as needed.
  • Mentor team members and promote a positive environment.
  • Perform related tasks as required.
Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of full-time experience in construction design fields; 2 years managing projects similar to SCA scale.
  • Senior experience: 8 years in technical roles; 4 managing similar projects.
  • Valid driver's license in New York State.
  • Equivalent education and experience accepted.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years in construction/design fields.
  • At least 2 years managing $5M+ projects.
  • Valid driver's license.
Compensation

For New York, NY, the range is $95,000 - $135,000 plus benefits and retirement. Gilbane offers competitive health benefits, profit-sharing, and a 401k. Applicants must pass a pre-employment drug test.
