Overview Apogee is always looking to add Instructors with Wideband. This role will be involved with providing contractor support to all aspects of the mission qualification training program. This includes providing administrative support to facilitate and document training following local procedures and higher headquarters' direction, as well as supporting instruction and curriculum development.This is a full-time, on-site role in Thousand Oaks, CA.Responsibilities Prepares and conducts training programs, teaches classes, holds seminars and discussion groups.Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel.Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.Formulates teaching outline in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such training methods as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments.May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs.Responsible for development of e-learning programs.Confers with management, employees and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies.Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops.Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works.Facilitates the execution of all training programs.Monitors training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded and prepares budget reports to justify expenditures.Qualifications MinimumExperience:Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a TS/SCI Education: Bachelor's Degree Years of Experience: 8-10 years of relevant experience. Additional Experience:Minimum 1-year of adult teaching experienceExperience using lesson plans to teachKnowledge and practice of applying adult learning theory in a classroom settingExperience operating SATCOM equipmentCompletion of Military Service, intermediate or senior level Professional Military education, OR relevant military or civilian experience. Candidate must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Narrowband satellite communications principles, protocols (e.g., MIL-STD-188-181, STANAG 4281), equipment (transceivers, modems, antennas), network architectures, and troubleshooting methodologies.Previous Positions Held: Military Satellite Communications Instructor (Prior military instructors in NB SATCOM will have a strong understanding of the specific technologies, protocols, and operational contexts relevant to the Space ForceCivilian Satellite communications Trainer/Instructor – direct experience developing and delivering training on NB systems)MS Office (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook)Adobe AcrobatMS SharePoint/TeamsStrong public speaking skillsAcute organization and communication skillsAbility to work cooperatively, collaboratively, and respectfully with people inside and outside the organization to achieve mission goalsMust also demonstrate a commitment to staying current on emerging threats, new protected communication technologies, and evolving countermeasures.Expertise in creating engaging and effective curriculum materials using instructional theories and applicationsProject management – Ability to manage projects efficiently and meet deadlines, involving the planning, execution, and monitoring of curriculum development effortsAssessment Creation and Analysis – Skill in developing diverse assessment tools to measure learning progress and effectiveness of the curriculumTechnology Proficiency – Proficiency in Training Management Systems (PEX primary) and/or experience with Learning Management System (LMS) and educational technology tools to support digital and hybrid learning environmentsData Analysis and Reporting - ability to track training and produce reports based on database entry analysisAdditional Information Location: Thousand Oaks, CA On-siteTravel: 10%Pay Range USD $125,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /Yr.#J-18808-Ljbffr
