SAS Programmer - Apex Informatics : Job Details

Job Title- SAS Programmer Location- Remote Duration- 12 Months (C2H Role)Good SAS/SQL Experience with recent healthcare experience.Job Description: What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete daily)? •Develop new and maintain existing SAS programs to extract, aggregate, and manipulate pharmacy and medical claims for analyses to support ad hoc data requests •Participate in the interpretation of business requirements and creation of technical specifications including data dictionaries and programming specs •Perform statistical analysis, and generate reports to answer research questions •Perform quality control checks on code, data sets, analytic outputs, research manuscripts and other deliverablesWhat does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)? •Bachelors and/or masters degree in health services research, health economics, biostatistics, computer science, epidemiology, sociology, psychology or equivalent) •3+ years experience programming in SAS (including proc SQL) •3+ years' experience supporting health services, health economics, and outcomes research What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)?
