SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead - System One : Job Details

Job Title: SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead Location: Salisbury, MD Type: Direct Hire Compensation: $111000 - $167000 annually (plus bonus) Contractor Work Model: Onsite System One is seeking an experienced SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead! This is a direct hire, full-time position located in Salisbury, MD. (Relocation package available) In this role, you will be a key leader in designing, implementing, and supporting SAP and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) solutions. You will be responsible for maintaining key relationships with business units, vendors, and IT teams to ensure customer orders are optimized for delivery, considering load building and transportation costs. This position is approximately 70% Functional and 30% Technical. SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Oversee the functional design, configuration, and implementation of integrations between SAP/S4 HANA modules and transportation key areas. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into business requirement documents, solution design documents, and functional specifications. • Provide functional and technical guidance and direction for solutions, enhancements, reporting, and testing. • Define, write, and execute test scripts and test plans, including metrics for success. • Provide hands-on engagement for troubleshooting and resolving issues, with clear communication and regular updates. • Support go-live and hyper-care activities. • Monitor and trend issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions. • Track and support key metrics on system SLA, including upgrade cutovers and disaster recovery drills. • Identify and drive opportunities to optimize processes and leverage SAP and transportation functionalities for improved efficiency and cost savings. • Contribute to project planning, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. • Provide the above support for other applications within business areas as defined by management. • Build and maintain effective working relationships within IT and business areas. • Maintain high productivity and quality work in a fast-paced environment. • Assist leadership in recruiting, developing, and mentoring a diverse work team. SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead Minimum Experience Requirements • 8 years in an Information Technology systems analysis function, translating business requirements into system specifications. • 5 years of process, configuration, and integration experience (PI, BTP) with SAP ECC, S4/HANA (MM, SD) and SAP TM or other Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Blue Yonder TMS or Oracle OTM. • Proven experience leading and managing SAP and transportation management projects, including planning, execution, and go-live support. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint. • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with effective written and verbal communication. SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead Experience Preferred • Experience in SAP ECC Order to Cash (OTC), S/4HANA EWM (Enterprise Warehouse Management) or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ESP and Demand, and Yard Management Systems (YMS). • Two to three full project lifecycle implementations of TMS systems with a concentration on integrations between TMS and SAP. • Experience with Microsoft Project or a similar tool for creating work plans and resource schedules. • Ability to code, troubleshoot, or understand ABAP. • Exposure and/or familiarity with: o Shell scripting o Integration methods and formats (EDI, idoc, AS2, API, JSON, XML, HTML, etc.) o DB2, PL/SQL or other languages o XML, HTML, JavaScript o Relational Databases o HP Quality Center Management or other testing software o SharePoint, OneDrive o Project Methodologies (Traditional/AGILE) • Experience with Organizational Change Management requirements, including creating and delivering training materials. • Experience with business analytics, from data retrieval to end-user consumption. • Continuous improvement poultry industry experience (including poultry technology courses). • Rotating weekly on-call to cover off hours and weekends. SAP Logistics Functional-Techno Lead Education Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
