Purpose

This role manages the development, release, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SAP functional programs and reports that support the company's business strategy. It requires familiarity with various concepts, practices, and procedures in the field. The role also involves improving business processes by collaborating with clients and colleagues.

Job Functions/Accountabilities
  • Analyze and evaluate existing or proposed SAP configurations, devising solutions, applications, and procedures to meet user requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and improve reports by modeling, transforming, and shaping data to meet business needs.
  • Support the business with data validation, security, and governance activities.
  • Prepare documentation including charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submit recommendations for solutions.
  • Provide direct SAP functional and system support, as well as business reporting support, training, and guidance to users.
  • Plan and conduct complex information system assignments and participate in multiple concurrent projects.
  • Operate with considerable latitude for unreviewed actions and decisions.
  • Design and apply new business processes, methods, and procedures.
  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates for future work.
  • Schedule work to meet deadlines and specifications, reviewing technical specifications for expected results.
  • Participate in analysis, design, development, and implementation phases of projects.
  • Provide functional assistance and advice to programmers and analysts.
  • Support testing and debugging of programs as needed.
  • Prepare functional and end-user documentation for software applications.
  • Provide SAP program functional specifications, system customization, and configuration expertise.
  • Support SAP users across various departments such as warehouse, accounting, purchasing, sales & marketing, customer service, R&D, etc.
  • Analyze business issues and develop effective solutions through design, coding, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Support business process improvements and strategies by maintaining business application systems.
  • Manage Zeon Chemicals' Business Intelligence systems (e.g., PowerBI) by providing development, administration, and support functions.
  • Stay updated with emerging technology through professional development.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve operational performance and meet customer needs, adhering to quality systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of IT.
    • QualificationsEducation and Certifications
    • Bachelor's in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required
    • SAP Certification preferred
    • Project Management experience preferred
    Experience
    • 5+ years of SAP functional support required
    • 2+ years of SAP technical experience preferred
    • 3+ years of BI/BA experience preferred
    • Knowledge in SAP Security is a plus
    • Extensive experience providing SAP configuration and support to users
    Special Qualifications
    • Familiarity with development tools such as SAP and internet technologies
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Creativity and latitude expected
