Blue Seal/KENT® Nutrition Group, a member of the KENT® Worldwide family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Sanitation Technician in Arcade, NY! This will be a 1st shift opportunity with an approximate schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To assist the Quality Control Manager and Sanitation Supervisor in maintaining the Arcade facility in a clean, rodent and pest free state, while meeting or exceeding all standards of the FDA, USDA, NYS Ag. & Markets and all other regulatory certification and food industry agencies.
• Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
• Carry out daily cleaning and housekeeping assignments as per the Sanitation Supervisor and sanitation schedule in a safe, efficient manner.
• Fill in production positions when necessary.
• Must be able to lift 55 lbs. to a height of 48 inches continually for the assigned period.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of feed manufacturing and willingness to learn and grow.
• Thorough understanding of cGMP's.
• Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
• Knowledge of FSMA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED.

WAGE:

• Starting at $18.00 an hour.
