Sanitation Specialist - Refresco : Job Details

Pay Rate: $18.50-$23.50

Shift: 3rd 11:00pm-7:30am

Essential Job Functions:

• Comply with health and safety protocols, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas.
• Ensure adherence to food quality and safety standards as mandated by company, customer, and governing bodies (FDA, SQF, etc.).
• Prepare equipment for cleaning and execute lock out/tag out procedures effectively.
• Utilize cleaning chemicals safely as per label instructions.
• Sanitize, foam, scrub, and rinse production equipment to meet Food Safety and Food Quality standards.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all conveyors, floors, drains, ceilings, and walls in production and warehouse areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in elevators, stairwells, and other assigned areas.
• Perform vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping tasks.
• Manage waste by emptying trash cans and replacing liners.
• Complete daily sanitation documentation and maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Report and confirm sanitation effectiveness through inspections and chemical testing.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read and comprehend Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical technical data sheets.
• Familiarity with safety protocols to prevent accidents and contamination.
• Experience operating industrial cleaning machines (e.g., pressure washers, floor scrubbers).
• Ability to identify potential sanitation issues proactively.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and food safety standards such as HACCP and SQF.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills to efficiently complete tasks.
• Problem-solving skills with a creative approach to cleaning strategies.
• A cooperative attitude and willingness to support colleagues.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in sanitation or janitorial work within a warehouse environment is preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnights.
• Fast-paced production plant environment with noise levels requiring hearing protection.

• 0% travel anticipated.
