Using established cleaning procedures, chemicals, tools, and techniques, maintains sanitary conditions in the processing plant ensuring bacteria and housekeeping are at acceptable levels. Inspects, sorts, and removes defects from product being processed in a food production facility in a safe and effective manner. Takes direction from trim trainer and team leaders. Job Description. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following (other duties may be assigned): Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs. Performs cleaning with the use of high-pressure hoses (air and hot water), tools such as scratch pads, brushes, sponges, squeegees, paper towels, shovels, brooms, buckets, wheelbarrows, carts, ladders, garbage cans, pallet jacks, flashlights, telephones and cleaning agents. Performs weekend clean-up as assigned . This requires a working knowledge of lock-out procedures and chemical and cleaning procedures.
