We are seeking a detail-oriented, solutions-driven Sanitarian/Building Inspector/Code Compliance Officer to join our vibrant Community Development team! You'll be the go-to expert for ensuring public safety, healthy environments, and quality construction throughout our county. From inspecting new construction and reviewing permits to investigating code violations and assisting the public, no two days will be the same. Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Two (2) years' experience as a registered sanitarian or any combination of education, training, or experience demonstrating the ability to perform the duties of the role
  • Three (3) years' experience in building inspection and code compliance/enforcement OR five (5) years' experience in the building trades (or equivalent combination)
  • ICC Certifications (within one year of appointment)
  • Valid Arizona Driver License
  • Ability to travel, work in the field, lift up to 50 lbs., and handle a variety of challenging environments
