SUMMARY The Sample Coordinator supports the manufacturing of samples using saws, CNC machines, and other tools, and prepares them for packaging and shipment. They verify incoming and outgoing products against paperwork, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation. The role includes preparing and staging orders, marking materials, and coordinating with carriers for timely shipments. Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse is essential, as it assists product movement and inventory counts. This position plays a key role in ensuring efficient operations and high-quality customer service through accurate and timely sample handling. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Sample Manufacturing
- Using saws, CNC machines and other power tools.
- Picking and packaging samples to send out to customers
- Ensure all shipping/receiving documents are completed and filed
- Verifies incoming/outbound product against paperwork to ensure accuracy
- Put away products in proper pre-determined locations
Order Preparation
- Prepare same-day and next day orders during any hour of operation
- Gathers stock product for upcoming orders and stage product for deliveries
- Verifies all orders against paperwork provided to ensure accuracy
- Mark all materials with identifying information using appropriate methods
- Notify LTL carriers that shipments are ready
Warehouse Organization:
- Maintains the warehouse in a clean, neat and highly organized manner, including all stored products, supplies, equipment, parts, vehicles, etc.
- Ensure warehouses are accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic
- Moves product as necessary or for organizational purposes
- Assists in counting physical inventory
EDUCATION and /or EXPERIENCE
- Experience operating a forklift preferred
- Relevant warehouse experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Considerable use of arms, legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, and walking is required. The employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment is in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently lift and move material and may be exposed to various temperatures during the day. The noise level in this work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position works in proximity to operating equipment such as forklifts, trucks and lifts and requires the use of box cutters, pallet jacks, scanners, hand carts, computer systems and forklifts.
