Sales Manager, Northeast Robern

Work Mode: Remote

Location: Remote - Northeast Region includes NY, NJ, PA, OH, IN KY

Opportunity

The Northeast Sales Manager is responsible for Robern sales in the Northeast region of North America. This territory covers New York (NYC, Long Island, Westchester Co), NJ, PA, OH, IN, KY

The Northeast Sales Manager is responsible for all business development and sales in that territory and for business and nurturing relationships with architects, designers, remodelers, custom builders, showrooms, project/specification, developers, and procurement agencies. This individual will be accountable to develop sales strategies to achieve increased sales by enhancing the value of Robern products in partnered designers, high-end builders, showrooms, major specifiers, and the lodging industry. This includes planning, implementing, all promotion and sales activities to promote Robern products to the defined target market to end users.

Also responsible for National Account relationship management for corporate accounts in their territory.

The Northeast Sales Manager will have oversight over rep agencies in the territory. He/she will be responsible for training, mentoring, and developing these reps to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Responsible for setting sales targets & objectives in line with Robern's strategic growth plan. All sales strategies developed and implemented must ensure profitable growth.

Specific Responsibilities

A & D Channel

* Establish and maintain direct relationships with top designers in your market that drive repeat sales with high average order rates

* Regularly meeting with designers to ensure Robern is on specs

* Train firm on Robern luxury assortment

* Introduce new products 2x per year

* Ensure firm or personal libraries are updated with literature and samples

Trade (Custom Builders, Remodelers, etc.)

* Establish and maintain direct relationships with installers and design/build forms in your market that drive repeat sales with high average order rates

* Regularly meetings with installer/firm to ensure Robern is on specs

* Train firm on Robern luxury assortment

* Introduce new Products 2x per year

* Ensure firm or personal libraries are updated with literature and samples

Showroom & Distribution Channel

* Establish and maintain direct relationships with showrooms and distributors in your market that can drive high volume business

* Create luxury merchandising in showroom locations

* Regularly meeting with showroom and distributor leadership on annual account plans and ways to drive sales

* Train floor staff to sell Robern luxury products

* Drive targeted and national promotions

* Introduce new products and get display adoption 2x per year

Projects & Specifications Channel

* Drive local commercial specification projects

* Work and Collaborate with the Business Development Manager- Projects to drive focus to the channel.

* Target new construction and renovation

* Understand all players - Architect/designer, developer/facility manager, distributor/procurement agency, general contractor

* Get Robern on spec (standard or custom product)

* Ensure Robern holds the spec through all phases of design and construction

* Requires ability to drive Robern's custom/collaborative design process with the customer and Robern engineering/operations

* Event and industry participation - Ensure participation in local market events and associations that enable new and nurturing of relationships in your market (NEWH, AIA, ADID, NKBA, etc.)

* Representative Agencies - Manage rep agency. Hold accountable to drive all Robern initiatives. Evaluate effectiveness on regular basis.

Robern/Kohler relationships

* Robern marketing, customer service, commercial specification project management

* Kohler local sales team, Kohler GPS team, KSS/KEC team, Ann Sacks sales team, Kallista sales team

Skills/Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or Economics from a four-year college or university preferred.

* Must have a minimum of 7 years sales experience, with strong preference given to experience.

* Experience in an outside sales role, and in selling luxury products is preferred.

* This role requires travel, up to 50% of the time.

* Customer Targeting, Salesforce, or similar CRM tracking.

* Prepare monthly order and sales forecast for your market.

* Prepare, analyze, and maintain reports required to develop sales plans.

The salary range for this position is $98,900 - $125,600. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
