Job Description :

**Location:** Remote;East Region* Responsible for creating annual strategic and financial plans (winnable games) for each KOHLER Signature Store location to ensure the achievement of sales and KPIs for the region.

* Accountable for the financial responsibility and profitability for eachlocation through the pro forma and operators P&L, including, but not limited to; top line sales, sales mix, gross margin, and operating expenses.

* Partners with store owners to detail organizational strengths/weaknesses and assist the ownership in their development of structured business growth plans and objectives within the context of their broader wholesale business.

* Working as the lead contact and business coach to assigned store teams, ensure Field Sales and distributor understand the store plans and their roles in helping to achieve.

* Collaborates with store owner and Field Sales to ensure the local inventory supports in-store demand.

* Cultivates productive, influential working relationships that yield improved business results.

* Acts as the ambassador for digital transformation of connecting stores to broader online initiatives to drive adoption in new systems, software, and tools.

* Accountable to help store owner and store teams improve demand through trade outreach customer satisfaction, traffic counts, and online reviews.

* Identifies root cause issues within each organization and at store levels through insights and data analysis, in-person observations, and stakeholder conversations; conveys to Kohler leadership to gain alignment on action plans in accordance with license agreement; brings solutions forward.

* Conducts structured coaching activities (i.e., Business Reviews, Business Planning Sessions, Visit Guides, etc.) for assigned organization/location.

* In collaboration with store manager, complete quarterly continuous improvement checklists.

* Improves distributor capabilities by leveraging available Kohler Co. tools and resources and best practices across business functions (human resources, marketing, operations, etc.).

* Prioritize decision-making and time allocation in support of each location that drives optimal value for Kohler Co.

* Protects Kohler Co. brands by identifying and addressing issues that may pose risks to customer experience, and ensures brand perceptions are addressed appropriately.

* Motivate teams and support KOHLER Signature Store strategic goals, linking the goals of each individual and location to the goals of the region and organization.

* Responsible of all new store openings and remodel projects working closely with the distributor owner and corporate team to be on time according to the master project timeline.

* Ensure the staffing requirements are met, annual calendars and trade outreach plan are activated 60 days prior to open.

* Ensure store staff are equipped with brand, product and visual merchandising know-how to build brand loyalty, inspire consumers and create demand.

* Collaborate with each owner on the creation and execution of a recruitment and talent strategy, to include the recruitment, hiring, training and development of store management.

* Collaborate with each owner and local Kohler Field Sales team to create and implement a trade outreach plan specific to our target customer.

* Accountable for strengthening brand identity by creating consistency within each store and each owner through personal example, coaching and ensuring visual and operational standards are met; ensure new products and messages are implemented on time.

* Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships with Field Sales and Corporate teams resulting in increased understanding of and successful results in their store business.

* Create an open and collaborative environment that influences the greater team through action and example and results in cascading knowledge and best practices throughout the organization.

* Take personal accountability for the growth and success of store managers and their team members, offering positively framed developmental feedback, modeling behavior and demonstrating a commitment to improving performance.

* Support ongoing training to the team in the areas of product knowledge, design trends, service and selling techniques.

* Ensure all locations consistently support our marketing campaigns through customer interactions and successful execution of visual direction.

* Coordinate, support and participate in the execution of successful events in accordance with annual marketing calendar.

* Facilitate and participate in Regional meetings and conference calls to provide partnership and create solutions to address business needs.

* Monitors retail and industry trends by attending trade shows, benchmarking competitors, and participating in various workshops.

Undergraduate degree, MBA or continued graduate education preferred

5 - 9 years in retail management, training and/or marketing. *

* Multi-store management experience is preferred.

* Home dcor, home improvement in luxury categories preferred.

* Strong business acumen and ability to identify root causes and key performance indicators.

* Entrepreneurial problem solver able to prioritize issues to allocate time effectively.

* Deeply understands key performance drivers of retail operations.

* Flexible thinker capable of addressing diverse retail issues.

* Uses data to drive decision-making and recommendations.

* Collaborative individual that works with distributors to cultivate knowledge sharing.

* Trustworthy, influential coach that can build skills and capabilities.

* Ability to travel within the US, up to 25%, to Kohler Signature Stores and Experience Centers with occasional travel to Kohler Corporate Headquarters.
