Dometrics is hiring a sales engineer to develop our outside sales with a focus on Elektror blowers in the OEM market. This position will include tasks such as acquiring new customers and follow-up, providing technical support, and making customer service calls. Travel will also play a big role in this position with customer acquisition, technical support, attending trade shows, and other needs. You may also be required to travel to Europe for training and to maintain relationships with vendors. You will need to be knowledgeable of the products and assist customers with product selection. Market research, customer identification and product selection are additional aspects of this position. Dometrics is a small family-owned business with strong core values. Because of this environment you may be required to do tasks outside of this job description.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Undergraduate degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Work requires professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to understand and predict the behavior of prospects under different competitive scenarios.

Requirements

· Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills

· The ability to relate technical information

· Working knowledge of a variable frequency drive

· Good leadership and teamwork skills

· Excellent technical and problem-solving skills

· Willingness to continue your sales and engineering education

· Familiarity with Microsoft word, outlook, excel and teams

· Preferred working knowledge of centrifugal fans

· Prefer experience using QuickBooks

· Willingness to travel

· Current up to date U.S. passport

Responsibility

  • Have a strong understanding of company products, competition in the market and positioning
  • Assist with product selection in standard and special applications
  • Provide the necessary documents to accompany the quote
  • Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on corporate competitors
  • Assess incoming sales opportunities for technical feasibility
  • Assess end-customer needs and make appropriate technical recommendations
