We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Sales Director to lead our specialty infusion services sales efforts in New York and New Jersey. This leadership role is pivotal in driving revenue growth by targeting specialists such as rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, immunologists, and general physicians who can refer patients to our infusion services. The Sales Director will leverage our robust data on prescribing patterns and warm leads to build strong relationships with doctors' offices across the five boroughs, Staten Island, Long Island, and the New Jersey suburbs. Initially focused on direct sales, this role will evolve into a leadership position responsible for hiring and managing a high-performing sales team, developing effective compensation plans, and implementing a scalable sales strategy to exceed revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to promote infusion services to targeted specialists and general physicians in NY and NJ.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors' offices, leveraging company-provided data on prescribing patterns to identify high-potential opportunities.
- Conduct in-person visits to rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, immunologists, and general physicians to educate them on our infusion services and drive referrals.
- Utilize warm leads and market insights to prioritize outreach and optimize sales efforts across the five boroughs, Staten Island, Long Island, and NJ suburbs.
- Analyze sales performance metrics to refine approaches and ensure consistent achievement of revenue goals.
- Transition into a leadership role by recruiting, training, and managing a team of sales professionals to expand market reach.
- Design and implement competitive compensation plans to attract top talent and incentivize high performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and clinical teams to develop compelling sales materials and ensure alignment with patient care objectives.
- Provide regular reports to senior leadership on sales progress, market trends, and team performance.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and reimbursement models to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in B2B healthcare sales, with a focus on selling complex services or solutions to clinics or specialists.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a healthcare setting, ideally within infusion services or specialty pharmacy.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape, including relationships with rheumatologists, gastroenterologists, immunologists, or general physicians.
- Experience in a leadership role or demonstrated ability to transition into managing and motivating a sales team.
- Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage and educate medical professionals.
- Strategic thinker with experience developing sales plans and compensation structures to drive team performance.
- Familiarity with the NY and NJ healthcare markets, including the five boroughs, Staten Island, Long Island, and NJ suburbs, is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel extensively within the designated territory and work independently.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms to track performance and optimize strategies.
Compensation
- Base Salary: $150,000 - $175,000 annually.
