Sales Director – Renewable Energy Sector
Location: Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, New York, Miami or Europe (Flexible near major hub). This is a hunting sales role for a Global Software / Services company using drone technology to provide Data / Analytic solutions. The Director will target large-scale wind and solar farms in North America and Europe.
Overview
The role focuses on selling complex solutions and services to the Renewable Energy sectors, specifically wind and/or solar farms. Some experience with drone technology and data analytics is required.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the sales cycle, from qualification to closing
- Identify and pursue new opportunities
- Develop / implement go-to-market strategies
- Lead the proposal process
- Articulate the company's technical and commercial solutions
- Uncover customer pain points and potential optimization opportunities
- Plan and deliver hands-on product demonstrations, including flying drones
- Inform the product management and technical teams on market requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure all deliverables meet customer needs
Qualifications
- 5+ years of proven, direct sales experience within the renewable energy sector
- Track record of selling to large-scale solar / wind farm customers
- Deep understanding of the solar and wind farm ecosystem
- Hunter mentality with passion to identify and close business
- Ability to navigate complex customer environments
- Based in Europe or North America, near a major airport, with willingness to travel
- Experience with drone technology and data analytics is preferred
Additional Information
This is an international position and the Director will work with opportunities across North America and Europe.
