We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Sales Development Manager with experience and readiness to build and scale a new SDR capability globally. This is a Hybrid position, based out of Grand Rapids, MI - local candidates only!

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Global (US & UK) Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), helping each team member reach their full potential and exceed individual and team goals.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture by aligning the team around shared goals, celebrating wins, and encouraging peer learning.
  • Monitor key performance metrics—including outreach activity, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution—to ensure consistent progress toward targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement in prospecting strategies, outreach processes, and use of tools to boost efficiency and outcomes.
  • Own SDR onboarding and ongoing development by delivering training sessions, facilitating skill-building workshops, and refining enablement resources based on evolving needs.
  • Provide targeted coaching on objection handling, messaging, and outbound strategy to strengthen conversion effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of all SDR activity in CRM systems to measure performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Strategize with team members on outbound campaigns and use of tech stack (Salesloft, Orum, ZoomInfo, etc.) to increase connect rates and prospect engagement.
  • Create, test, and optimize outbound sequences in Salesloft to support SDR workflows and improve engagement and conversion rates.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure technology tools are leveraged effectively and kept up to date with best practices.
  • While primarily a leadership role (80%), this position also includes individual outbound prospecting goals (20%) to stay close to the process and model best practices.

Skills & Experience Needed

  • Experience managing outsourced partners to drive accountability and scale
  • Ability to influence others and build rapport quickly – especially over the phone
  • Strong sales acumen and ability to understand business drivers, pain points, and customer needs
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Education: Bachelor's in Business/Sales/Marketing or related work experience
  • Experience: Leadership background and 2-3 years of experience in a business, sales or marketing related position.
  • In-Office Expectations: 3 days in office per week (T, W, Th) with potential to increase to 5 days
