HOM Furniture is searching for a **Sales Consultant** to assist with HOMs continued success and growth. The Sales Consultant position is responsible for assisting our clients with their furniture needs.. They help guide our customers through their furniture buying experience ensuring that they will love every purchase. Our Sales Consultants are energetic, driven individuals who can recognize a sales opportunity. They know their product, follow up with customers, create opportunities and find meaning in their work.

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), may be working towards it

* 1 to 3 years of related experience or equivalent training preferred

* Effective communication between customers, clients, and other employees

* Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds

* Flexible Days, Evenings, Weekends

**Pay Qualifications:**

$20 Hour Guarantee Against Commissions - Better Producers Earn $60 - $100K Annually

* College Degree or Design Degree

* 3 years of professional Sales Experience

OR if you do not qualify for the above we offer:

$15 Guarantee Against Commissions - same earning potential as above

* High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), may be working towards it

* 1 to 3 years of related experience or equivalent training preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

**SALES BEHAVIORS**

* Ensure an exceptional guest experience by working with all customers in a friendly and professional manner

* Determine customers needs using proper inquiries

* Present and demonstrate products in a competent manner

* Lead customers into making buying decisions

* Provide all customers with after sale service

* Consistently demonstrate selling skills using the companys structured selling method

* Track prospective customers and follow up with the customer when new products or promotions arise that meet their needs.

* Responsible for staying informed on all new and existing product lines

* Submit timely and accurate sales reports as directed by manager

* Maintaining high accuracy with writing invoices, special orders and customer follow up.

* Perform non-selling activities, such as: price product for promotional events, regular maintenance of price cards, light dusting & vacuuming, maintain cleanliness in all areas of the showroom

Language Skills Requires skills to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Need to be able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.

Mathematical Skills Mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Also requires skills to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and the ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.

Reasoning Ability Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Need to be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
