The Opportunity:

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for leading a portfolio of key retail grocery accounts located in the United States.

Job Description:

As a Sales Account Manager, you will nurture and develop relationships with key customers. This role will have specific revenue and performance targets tied to the account ownership. The responsibilities include overall holistic account management: forecasting, trade & deduction management, customer presentations & new product sell in, business reviews, annual target/KPI generation.

  • Identify promotional/shopper marketing opportunities and develop annual plans
  • Demand Planning & Forecasting
  • Trade Management/Annual Planning
  • Leading as the primary contact for all customer matters
  • Familiarity with retailer portal requirements
  • Active involvement in account sales analytics using syndicated data
  • Negotiating account management contracts and agreements
  • Leading strategic account planning and setting performance objectives

Qualifications:

  • Only candidates with CPG grocery industry experience will be considered
  • Understanding of budgeting process, post analysis and trade reconciliation
  • Deductions understanding/experience
  • Experience managing and working with sales brokers & distributors
  • Annual Account Planning - Topline and Bottomline experience
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Proficiency with Powerpoint and Excel
  • Strong data analytics and reporting skills
  • Strong understanding of Shopper Marketing as a component to support shelf placement
  • The ability to identify, prioritize and articulate the highest impact initiatives
  • Superior organizational and multi-tasking abilities
