Field Safety Tech

Location: Farnham, VA

Duration: 3-6 Months (Start: Immediate Need)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Job Details

  • Hourly Rate: $48/hr ($50/hr for BCSP)
  • Per Diem: $2500/month (To be paid out weekly of 625) if over 50 miles from project location
  • Mileage: $0.30/mile on-site
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
  • Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

  • 50-60hrs/week | 0700 - 1700 | M-F (Saturdays will start in a couple of weeks)

Project Scope

The construction Field Safety Tech will oversee safety solar field installations (Trenching, underground utilities, Lockout/Tagout, etc)

Qualifications

Candidates must have ONE the following requirements:

  • OSHA 500 with 5 years of construction safety OR
  • CHST with 4 years of construction safety OR
  • 4-year degree in Health and Safety with 5 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Must have Solar construction experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
  • Provide safety training as needed
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required

Skills & Knowledge

Skills:

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
  • Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
  • Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
