Job Description :

The EHS Supervisor plays a hands-on role in supporting and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across the Distribution Center. This position assists with implementing health and safety programs, conducts routine safety inspections, facilitates training, and supports accident prevention initiatives. The EHS Supervisor partners closely with operations and HR to ensure day-to-day safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture on the floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Support & Daily Oversight

  • Assist with executing and maintaining OSHA-compliant health and safety programs.
  • Conduct daily/weekly facility safety walks and inspections to identify hazards and verify corrective actions are completed.
  • Support the safety committee and help lead regular meetings and improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor powered industrial truck (PIT) usage and ensure operators are properly trained and certified.
  • Serve as a point person for incident investigations, supporting root cause analysis and follow-up actions.

Training & Communication

  • Deliver and track employee safety training on topics such as PPE, forklift operation, emergency response, and chemical handling.
  • Help facilitate new hire safety orientation and certification processes.
  • Maintain and update safety communication materials, signage, and bulletin boards throughout the facility.

Emergency Preparedness & Health Initiatives

  • Ensure AEDs and first aid supplies are maintained and accessible; provide first response when needed.
  • Support ergonomic assessments and implementation of improvements to reduce strain and injury.
  • Assist with employee pre-work screenings, fit-for-duty processes, and infectious disease protocols.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Maintain safety logs, training records, inspection checklists, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in preparing OSHA logs, workers' compensation paperwork, and safety reports as required.
  • Help track and reduce safety incidents, lost time, and near misses.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of EHS experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA standards, hazard identification, and corrective action follow-through.
  • Certified in First Aid/CPR and AED use (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and safety tracking platforms (e.g., Infolink, HRIS, EHS software).
