Safety Manager - Movement Search & Delivery : Job Details

We are conducting a confidential search for a Safety Manager with a company that is a global supplier of industrial components to the packaging, paper, and pulp markets. This is a direct-hire position and it is based around Escanaba, MI.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership to support and assist all levels of management in achieving the facility and corporate goals for reduction of work-related injuries.
• Zero injuries is our goal.
• Assist in planning, creating, and implementing programs and processes to maintain a workplace that meets or exceeds federal and state safety requirements.
• Expert in all regulatory requirements, industry standards and local safety matters including integration of Health, Safety, Security and best practices into the mill.
• Experience in and knowledge of paper industry standards and process safety management (PSM) requirements.
• Ensures a proactive approach to injury prevention and reporting.
• Oversight of the mill's contracted security staff, in-house emergency response teams, and property protection programs.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

* Bachelors degree

* 3+ years experience as a Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment

* Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)

* Supervisory experience preferred

* Experience with compliance reporting
