Redwood Electric is looking for a highly motivated and proactive individual who will be responsible for supporting field operations by promoting a strong safety culture, conducting jobsite inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations on construction projects.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine jobsite safety audits and inspections
- Support crews with pre-task plans, JHAs, and daily safety meetings
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards
- Assist with incident response and investigations
- Monitor proper use of fall protection and elevated work platforms
- Ensure compliance with LOTO procedures and energy control
- Oversee confined space entry and atmospheric monitoring
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training documentation
- Collaborate with foremen, PMs, and field staff to address safety concerns
- Participate in onboarding and ongoing field safety training
Skills and Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 certification
- First Aid/CPR certified
- Prior construction experience (electrical strongly preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and safety software/tools
Working knowledge of the following:
- Fall protection systems
- Scissor and boom lift operation
- Powder-actuated tools
- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
- Confined space entry protocols
Education and Experience:
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments and make quick safety decisions
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Reliable transportation to project sites throughout the Sparks region
Working Conditions
- This position is based in our Reno/Sparks office and is not eligible for remote work.
- Work may be performed in an office or on active job sites, depending on role and project needs.
- Office work includes sitting, typing, and using a computer for extended periods.
- Field environments may involve walking, standing, bending, or lifting materials (up to 30 lbs).
- Noise levels range from quiet (office) to high (job sites).
- May require occasional travel to project locations or meetings.
