Summary

Joining Balfour Beatty as a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all health and safety policies across large-scale active construction sites. You will work closely with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and leadership to maintain a safe work environment and drive continuous improvement in safety practices, all within our Zero Harm commitment.

Essential Functions

• Develop and manage safety programs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across all active job sites.
• Lead incident investigations, report findings, and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and orientation for all employees, subcontractors, and new hires.
• Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify safety risks and mitigate hazards.
• Maintain documentation and reporting related to safety performance, incidents, and compliance.
• Promote a safety-first culture across all levels of the organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of safety experience in commercial construction.
• CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30/510 certification.
• First Aid/CPR certified.
• In-depth knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel between job sites as needed.
