Safety Manager - Sterling Engineering : Job Details

Hire Type: Direct Hire

Target Salary: $85-95,000

Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: up to 15% annual bonus

Job Summary: Maintains compliance with all regulatory requirements (OSHA & ADEM) related to environmental programs and the health and safety of employees.

Job Duties:

• Provides regular approved Safety training to employees, including New Hire, OSHA, CPR, AED training, etc.
• Ensures compliance of facilities for OSHA, EPA, State, County and local policies and procedures
• Leads incident investigations and/or response teams for EHS incidents
• Implements corrective actions found during investigations and/or audits
• Manages preventable maintenance schedules
• Conducts Safety and Environmental audits and inspections
• Performs routine Job Safety Analyses
• Maintains and updates MSDS Materials/Manuals
• Serves as Facility's Emergency Coordinator
• Monitors daily production to promote safe working conditions
• Leads Facility's Safety Committee
• Maintains all records related to Safety function in a designated shop

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field
• 3-5 years of EHS related experience in an industrial setting
• Experience with State and Federal environmental regulations
• Experience with Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• OSHA 10/30 hour; RCRA; HAZWOPER; HAZWASTE, DOT 181; Industrial Hygiene classes (CIH)
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
• Safety Certification (CSP, ASP, etc.)
