About the Role:
The Safety Manager plays a critical role in maintaining safety standards and ensuring adherence to company safety policies and procedures across various electrical transmission construction projects. This position provides support to projects throughout designated geographical locations.

Location: Ideally, this position is located in the Plover, WI area.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and manage the ongoing safety program.
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure appropriate safety staffing on projects.
- Ensure fieldwork compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Conduct audits and provide valuable feedback to safety engineers.
- Facilitate cross-training and deliver training as needed.
- Assist management in improving safety practices and procedures.
- Conduct inspections, surveys, and evaluations, both scheduled and spontaneous.
- Contribute to accident briefs, safety publications, bulletins, and reports.
- Provide technical guidance to mitigate unsafe behaviors and environmental factors.
- Generate progress reports on safety activities and studies.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform essential functions from an office or field location as designated by the Company.
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
About You:
Qualifications
- Experience in OSHA recordkeeping, reporting, and Method of Procedure (MOP) writing.
- Background in job hazard and safety analysis within the transmission and distribution sector.
- Hands-on experience in transmission and distribution line construction.
- Management experience in a safety role.
- A degree in safety or a related technical field (such as CSP).
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA 501, OTI certifications, etc.).
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in Risk Management principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exhibit a positive attitude.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of safety programs within the utility and construction sectors.
- Experience with OSHA/DOT regulations.
- OSHA 10, 30, and 500 (Train the Trainer) certified.
- Good computer and typing skills.
- Understanding of OSP (OSHA Strategic Partnership).
