Safety Director – Construction
Location: Piedmont, SC
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum base
(Early finish every Friday at 11:30 AM!!!)

I am seeking a Construction Safety Director to oversee and drive safety excellence across industrial and environmental projects. This is a senior-level position responsible for ensuring compliance, shaping safety culture, and supporting project teams in delivering safe, high-quality work.
Role Overview
You will lead from the top—providing oversight, guidance, and accountability for safety managers and site teams. A large part of the role involves conducting jobsite visits, safety audits, and performance reviews while tracking key metrics and ensuring proactive risk management.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide project safety personnel to maintain and improve safety standards.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
- Track, analyze, and report on safety performance metrics.
- Develop strategies for continuous improvement in safety programs.
- Provide leadership and coaching to foster a strong safety culture across all levels of the company.
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to proactively mitigate risks.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Safety Manager/Director within construction.
- Strong background in industrial and/or environmental projects.
- Knowledge of utilities/electrical safety is a plus but not required.
- OSHA 510 or OSHA 501 certification is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- $80,000 - $120,000 base plus performance bonus.
