Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Safety and Environmental Compliance Associate I within the Safety and Environmental Compliance Department based at our Headquarters facility in Millersville, MD. This position assists with the implementation of the Service's safety and environmental compliance programs and Compliance Focused Environmental Management System. Performs facility audits and inspections of MES operated facilities throughout the State and ensures facilities implement corrective actions as necessary. Assists with employee training.

Estimated Pay Range:

$ 58,444.70 - $80,361.47

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from high school or GED plus one year experience in the safety or environmental compliance field. Applicants may substitute an advanced applicable education degree in the safety, public health or environmental science field for the required experience. Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points. Position requires driving to facilities Statewide.

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of field experience completing safety inspections, and Certification in the American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED Instructor preferred.
