Round Cook - Tumblesalts Cafe : Job Details

Located in RI - Tumblesalts' Cafe and it's sister restaurants The Acorn Room and Nichoolena's Kitchen and Pizza (formerly The Pizza Station) are currently hiring experienced kitchen staff - including (but not limited to) prep, line cook, fry, grill, sous chef, pizza, sandwiches - part time or full time.. Must be able to execute menu items, handle multiple orders, plate neatly. Must be CLEAN, open minded, willing to be trained, and willing to work on a team. Experience in all functions of kitchen service. Must be organized, flexible, dependable and have strong communication skills (be able to speak and read English). We are seeking a dependable and skilled round cook to join our team. The ideal candidate is confident in all aspects of BOH, able to carry a station independently, and prepared to command the line during slower service periods. Expo a plus. All shifts available. Responsibilities and Duties

Prep, grill, organize, maintain inventory, maintain cleanliness and health standards, support cooking line as needed, communicate and work in conjunction with front of house (expo a plus), management and owners

- Prepare, cook, and serve menu items according to established recipes and standards- Operate line with accuracy and consistency- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation- Communicate effectively and support team members during service- Manage line during slower shifts to ensure smooth operation- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and service requirements

Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum 2 of experience in line cooking, BOH

- Strong skills in prep, saute, grill

- Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure

- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 30 per week
