Summary

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years' experience managing high-volume restaurant/nightclub, with direct reports of managers, doormen, floor host persons, bussers, bartenders, and cocktail servers.
  • General understanding of budgeting, profit and loss statements, labor costs, food and beverage costs, and operational expenses.
  • Knowledge of effective food and beverage service techniques and sales strategies.
  • Knowledge and experience with Micros POS, Avero Slingshot, Coyle Secret Shoppers, Bevintel, ADP, and Hotschedules a plus.
  • Knowledge of service etiquette and standard service practices for full-service restaurants, nightclubs, and corporate events.
  • Knowledge and experience in production for DJs and live performances.
  • Knowledge of standard safety and sanitation practices for food and beverage service.
  • Knowledge and experience with brand marketing, social media, and advertising.

Duties and Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure ROOF operations maintain or exceed service standards to enhance the brand, image, culture, and values of theWit in all 3 phases of the operation.
  • Responsible for managing operational efficiency, quality of service standards, noise levels, and overall impact of the venue on guest satisfaction on the property.
  • Strong organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail and quality of service; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, associates, and hourly employees; effectively listen and administer instructions.
  • Schedule weekly shifts, recognizing staffing needs, availability, and requests off on Hotschedules, as well as general upkeep and data input in E-Time.
  • Communicate successfully at all times with ROOF employees and management, theWit associates, senior executives, fire and health inspectors, emergency service personnel, other outside vendors, and high-profile guests.
  • Provide exceptional guest service that differentiates us from the competition.
  • Practice proper cash handling procedures and nightly reporting.
  • Articulate Wit and departmental happenings in daily Stand-Up.
  • Facilitate and execute banquet events in compliance with service standards and banquet event orders.
  • Make decisions quickly, delegate responsibilities accordingly, and remain calm while managing multiple tasks in a very high-paced and stressful environment.
  • Actively implement and participate in social media marketing campaigns for ROOF.
  • Manage, schedule shifts, train restaurant staff, and monitor staff performance.
  • Participate in financial planning, tracking, and forecasting.
  • Maintain venue storage area upkeep and organization.
  • Ability to work all shifts, holidays, weekends, and long hours.
