This includes managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and in-house teams to ensure high-quality performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all aspects of RCC project delivery from pre-construction to close-outCoordinate with estimating and engineering teams during bid and design phasesDevelop detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plansManage field operations, subcontractors, and material suppliersEnsure quality control and adherence to project specifications and tolerancesMaintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standardsProvide regular progress updates and reports to leadership and clientsConduct site inspections and resolve technical issues as they ariseFoster strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and regulatory agenciesTrack and manage project costs and change ordersMentor and supervise project engineers and field staffQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field5+ years of experience managing heavy civil or concrete paving projectsDirect experience with roller compacted concrete projects strongly preferredStrong knowledge of concrete mix designs, placement methods, and equipment (e.g., pavers, rollers, curing systems)Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, HCSS)Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsWorking ConditionsLocation –Southeast RegionConstruction Site Environment – Physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels.Construction Site Office Environment – Extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.Ames Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
