Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Roll Forming Process Engineer, located in GREEN COVE SPRINGS (JACKSONVILLE, FL). The Roll Forming Process Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing efficient roll forming processes, ensuring process control and quality, and conducting detailed analytical assessments. The engineer will work collaboratively with production teams to optimize performance and meet production goals, while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

· Production Support:
o Provide immediate, hands-on engineering support to resolve urgent production issues related to roll forming and stamping processes.
o Collaborate directly with operators and maintenance personnel to diagnose and resolve setup, tooling, and machinery issues.
· New Product Introduction:
o Lead tooling trials and support production ramp-up for new product launches, ensuring seamless transition from initial setup to full-scale production.
o Review and interpret customer prints for compliance with engineering standards and principles.
· Process and Efficiency Improvements:
o Identify and implement line speed enhancements and process efficiency improvements using Lean manufacturing principles.
o Drive continuous improvement projects (Kaizen) to increase productivity, reduce downtime, and enhance quality.
· Tooling and Die Management:
o Collaborate closely with the Tool & Die department to troubleshoot and resolve chronic tooling problems.
o Develop and recommend tooling revisions and updates; create and modify tooling drawings as needed.
· Quality Coordination:
o Work directly with the Quality team to investigate and resolve quality-related issues through process analysis and corrective action implementation.
· Equipment Selection and Specification:
o Evaluate, select, and recommend machinery and ancillary equipment required for new manufacturing lines, including roll forming mills, stamping presses, and related equipment.
o Experience with Allan Bradley, Yoder, STAMTEC, contour, Servo, feeders, drives, metal stamping, press controls, Komatsu, AC drives, welders, Bliss and Minster.
Flexibility in work schedule and ta
Sets up and operates machines using various tools.
Fits and assembles parts to make or repair metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines.
Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, and dimensions and tolerances.
Determines dimensions and tolerances of piece to be machined, sequence of operations and machines required by studying specifications, such as blueprint, sketch, damaged part or description of part.
Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
Utilizes precision measuring instruments to check accuracy of work.
Install, align, and lock specified punches, dies, cutting blades or other fixtures in rams or beds of machines, using gauges, templates, feelers, shims, and hand tools.
