THE POSITIONIf you have experience in roadway maintenance, data collection, and analysis, and are looking for a new career opportunity, then we encourage you to apply for the position of Roadway Programs Technician 1 at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. This role will involve assisting with the management and maintenance of the Roadway Management System, as well as conducting testing and managing pavement data for the Pavement Evaluation Testing Analysis Section. Your responsibilities will include operating PennDOT pavement test equipment, such as devices used for laser roughness and pavement friction testing systems, as well as the location reference system and video log test system. Along with these tasks, you will also be involved in managing data analysis and reporting systems, conducting research projects related to highway pavements, and maintaining and repairing testing equipment. In addition, your role will involve performing specialized activities for PennDOT's Automated Data Collection, Inventory, and Analysis Distress Program.Interested in learning more?
