Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing individualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients' health in accordance with medical and nursing plans of care and established policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members in the development, execution, and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care. The RN maintains a safe care environment for their patients (clients) and delivers quality care. Provides nursing services to patients and families in accordance with the scope of the RN as defined by the Virginia Board of Nursing.The Surgical Services Specialty Coordinator plans, coordinates, and manages specific surgical specialty area(s). Collaborates with physicians to ensure equipment and supplies are appropriately available. This position works to promote and sustain a culture reflective of Centra's best practices for quality and service, creates and maintains a safe patient environment, and contributes to a healthy work environment. Hold a current, active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) course completion card.Preferred Certifications and Licensures: Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR)
