This role requires flexibility with scheduling, including day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends, holidays, and on-call duties as needed. Our unit specializes in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and various elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. Candidates will be part of a vibrant and innovative department recognized for research and professional growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with orthopedic trauma and related surgical needs. - Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Demonstrate strong problem-solving and communication skills while caring for patients. - Interpret telemetry data and respond promptly to any changes in patient condition. - Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities. Requirements: - Must have prior experience in Orthopedic nursing. - Proficiency in telemetry interpretation is required. - Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association. - An active RN license in New York is mandatory. - A minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred, ideally in a level 1 trauma facility. Behavioral Characteristics: - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
