Description - External

Responsible for providing leadership and managing ongoing nursing operations and serving as resource to all hospital managers for assigned shift. Functions as an on site liaison and resource person for nursing, medical, administrative, and management staff. Communicates and collaborates with all hospital departments, SMH, and outside agencies in problem resolution to promote effective and efficient operation of hospital. Facilitates development/learning opportunities for shift staff.

Qualifications - External

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Graduate of State approved school of nursing. BSN or working towards BSN with identified time line for completion.

Required Experience: 18 months nursing practice experience.

Licensure: Active RN licensure in Commonwealth of Indiana. BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP required.

Skills: Leadership/management, communication, problem solving, collaboration and team building skills.

Equipment: Personal computer, equipment related to specialty areas, i.e., and patient care equipment.
