We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse – Ambulatory to join our team at Upstate Cancer Center for a short-term assignment. The ideal candidate will have experience in outpatient oncology and provide high-quality, compassionate care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to patients in an ambulatory/clinic setting.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans.

• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.

• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.

• Document care and communicate effectively using the EPIC Electronic Medical Record system.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.

• Educate patients and families regarding health status, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and institutional policies.

Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN license

• Current BLS certification (must be able to be recertified)

• Minimum of 1.5 years recent experience in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity

• Preferred: Outpatient Oncology experience

• Preferred: Experience using EPIC EMR

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Clean professional record (no suspensions, investigations, or liability claims)

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance, drug screening, and background check
