Risk Manager - St. Tammany Health System : Job Details

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 JOB SUMMARY: Serves a primary role to identify, assess and mitigate potential risks that could impact patients, colleagues or St. Tammany Health System, while ensuring patient safety and minimizing financial and legal liabilities. Develops and implements risk management plans, policies and procedures and also educates staff on risk prevention strategies. Performs a variety of duties related to managing risk and safety issues throughout the Health System (STHS or System). - Key aspects of the role include working with STHS colleagues in developing, documenting and implementing process improvements to enhance and hardwire patient and environmental safety; has a keen understanding of STHS policy and procedure and works independently to reinforce proactive safety measures while coaching STHS leaders, physicians and colleagues on all aspects of health system safety.
